ShinyBox is Jon Ulrigg, maker of ribbon microphones and studio electronics in the beautiful
cascade foothills of Washington state.
The descendant of a jeweler/watchsmith, Jon satisfies his need to build precision instruments by hand building
microphones. Using select parts, each microphone is hand assembled (by Jon), down to tuning the ribbon to his specification.
This allows a level of quality control and performance with few rivals.
ShinyBox is proud to say its microphones are in use by top engineers, producers, and musicians worldwide!
When not attatched to the soldering iron, Jon is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and spends time in his
recording studio/evil petting zoo.
