ShinyBox 46MX
Each 46MX ribbon microphone is hand assembled at the bench by Jon Ulrigg. Every ribbon motor is hand tuned in Jon's shop,
which offers a level of quality control and performance that sets these ribbon microphones
apart from the competition.

ShinyBox 46MXC
With a Cinemag output transformer installed in the 46MX model, the frequency response of the ribbon microphone evens out,
while extending the hi and low frequency response. This leaves a very natural and detailed sounding ribbon microphone
suitable for a wide range of applications.

With a Lundahl output transformer,
the overall frequency response of the ribbon microphone is extended(even more so than the 46MXC),
leaving a ribbon microphone that is very open, accurate, and quite breathtaking!

Matching
Although tolerances between the ribbon microphones is fairly consistent, ShinyBox does offer a matching
service whereby we will guarantee that the ribbon microphones are closely matched.
Microphones are tested across a wide frequency range, and hand selected for equal response characteristics
